What happens when you transfer a domain?
A transfer moves the domain registration to TealHost. Your website does not need to go offline if DNS is planned properly.

Check the domain
Enter the domain you already own. If it appears available, register it instead of transferring it.

Unlock it at the old registrar
Turn off registrar lock and request the transfer code from the current provider.

Start transfer checkout
TealHost prepares the transfer order and keeps the domain path attached to checkout.

Review DNS before switching
If your website or email is live, ask support to check DNS before nameserver changes.
