At TealHost, we are committed to delivering reliable hosting and related services. This Refund Policy outlines the conditions under which refunds may be issued. By purchasing any TealHost service, you acknowledge and accept the terms set out below.
1. 7-Day Money-Back Guarantee
New customers of eligible TealHost services may request a full refund within seven (7) days of the initial purchase date. This guarantee is intended to allow you to evaluate our service and confirm it meets your needs.
Eligible services:
• Shared web hosting (cPanel)
• VPS services (initial purchase only)
• SSL certificates (only if not yet issued by the certificate authority)
2. Non-Refundable Services and Fees
The following are strictly non-refundable under any circumstances:
• Domain name registrations and renewals. Once a domain has been registered or renewed, the cost is paid directly to the registry and cannot be reversed.
• SSL certificates that have already been issued by the certificate authority.
• Add-on services, setup fees, migration fees, and administrative fees.
• Restoration fees and recovery fees.
• Cancellation fees applied due to insufficient notice (see Terms of Service).
• Services that have been suspended or terminated due to violation of our Terms of Service or Acceptable Use Policy.
3. Refunds After the 7-Day Period
Refund requests submitted after the initial 7-day window will not be honoured. This applies to all service types, including renewals. We strongly encourage clients to review their services and ensure they are still required before each renewal cycle.
4. Cancellation vs Refund
Cancellation of a service does not automatically entitle the Client to a refund. A cancellation simply stops future billing from the next renewal cycle. Refunds are only issued where they meet the conditions of this policy.
Please refer to the Terms of Service for full details on cancellation procedures and notice periods, particularly for VPS services which require one (1) month’s written notice.
5. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, please submit a written request via:
• Your TealHost client area, or
• Email to billing@tealhost.host
Your request must include:
• Your full name and registered account email address
• The invoice number or service ID
• The reason for the refund request
We aim to review and respond to all refund requests within five (5) business days.
6. Refund Processing
Approved refunds will be processed using the original payment method where possible. Processing times depend on the payment provider and may take between five (5) and twenty (20) business days to reflect on your account. TealHost is not responsible for delays caused by banks, payment gateways, or third-party processors.
7. Chargebacks
If you have a billing concern, please contact us first so we can resolve it directly. Initiating a chargeback or payment dispute without first attempting to resolve the matter with TealHost may result in immediate suspension or termination of all services associated with your account, and may incur additional administrative fees.
8. Service Disruptions and Downtime
Refunds, credits, or compensation are not automatically issued for service disruptions, downtime, or temporary unavailability. Where a service-level commitment exists, any compensation will be governed by the specific terms of that agreement.
9. Modifications to This Policy
TealHost reserves the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time. Changes will be posted on our website and will apply to purchases made after the effective date of the change.
10. Governing Law
This Refund Policy is governed by the laws of the Republic of Mauritius and forms part of the broader TealHost Terms of Service.
